Maniac Steals Fire Truck, Smashes 16 Cars in Wild Rampage
Fire Engine Theft Leads to Wild Joyride and Property Damage
A suspect stole a valued fire engine in Washington state and caused chaos during a reckless pursuit involving multiple collisions. The stolen vehicle, worth between $500,000 and $1 million, was taken from the Everett Fire Department around 11 p.m. as crew members responded to an emergency nearby.
Soon after the theft, the fire truck crashed into at least ten parked cars and injured a few others, with the thief abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Witnesses reported seeing the truck ram into a pair of parked cars before quickly disappearing from the scene. Authorities later discovered additional destruction, including damage to trees and a street sign, indicating the thief’s trail of chaos.
Police confirmed that at least 16 vehicles were damaged in the rampage. The pursuit ended with the fire truck severely damaged, forcing it to be taken out of service. The suspect remained at large late into the weekend. Authorities are actively investigating, with efforts underway to locate the individual responsible and prevent future incidents.
Responding officers found the suspect’s trail at three different locations, including wreckage and debris left along the streets. Everett Police Chief John DeRousse emphasized the importance of community safety and the need to hold the perpetrator accountable.
“We are committed to protecting our residents and will work tirelessly to bring the individual to justice,” he stated. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. Fire officials pledged to review their policies to prevent similar events from happening in the future.
