Golf icon Sam Torrance has praised both Tiger and Charlie, noting their similar approach to the game. Torrance, a four-time Ryder Cup winner with Team Europe, knows firsthand about family success in golf, having won with his own son in 2003.

The Woods family has played together five times at the PNC Championship, with their best finish recently as runners-up behind Bernhard and Jason Langer. Torrance remains impressed by Charlie’s talent, especially after his victory at the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May.

Expressing his admiration, Torrance told a news outlet, “I know how talented Charlie is. Having played with my son in a major tournament, I understand how special it is.” He continued, “Charlie looks exceptional, and the similarities in their swings and posture are striking.”

Torrance added, “Watching clips of them together, it’s clear that Charlie models his game after Tiger. Their shared mannerisms show a strong father-son connection, and Tiger’s guidance makes all the difference. Having the best coach possible, Tiger, is a massive advantage for Charlie’s future.”
