A surprising video has gone viral showing police officers in Arizona completing a pizza delivery after the driver was taken into custody during a traffic stop.

Shared by the Tempe Police Department, the clip captures officers knocking on a customer’s door on July 4th with her pizza, much to her astonishment. When she opens the door, she exclaims, “Hello,” clearly taken aback by the unexpected visitors.

One officer asks how she’s doing and verifies her identity by asking, “Brandy?” before confirming the delivery address. The woman confirms, and the officer explains, “Yes, your GrubHub driver was arrested, but we still delivered your pizza.”

Her surprise turns to amusement when she realizes what’s happening. “I really appreciate the pizza,” she says. One officer remarks, “It still should be warm,” ensuring the delivery’s quality.

The police department shared the video on their social media, noting the unlikely but heartwarming act of service. The department also posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “When a delivery driver is arrested during a traffic stop, our officers make sure the pizza still gets to the customer. The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady.”

Officials clarified that the driver was arrested on charges of reckless driving and racing. Despite the arrest, the officers went above and beyond to deliver the customer’s pizza, exemplifying dedication to community service. Authorities praised their efforts, emphasizing that their commitment extends to safety and service around the clock.
