Teacher Busted for Student Sexual Relationship at Christian School

Alabama Teacher Arrested Amid Allegations of Student Exploitation

A teacher at a Christian school in Alabama has been taken into custody following accusations of engaging in a sexual relationship with a female student. The incident has been described by the school as deeply distressing for everyone involved.

Sarah Huggins Logan, 35, an instructor at North River Christian Academy, was detained by authorities shortly after the allegations surfaced. The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reported that the victim’s parents alerted police on Wednesday after discovering their daughter’s involvement in an inappropriate relationship with the teacher.

Following an investigation by the sheriff’s Violent Crimes Unit, Logan was arrested based on interviews and additional evidence collected during their inquiry. She faces charges related to sexual misconduct with a school employee, with potential for more charges to be filed.

The age of the student involved remains undisclosed, as does the timing of the alleged relationship. The school responded to the incident, stating they had cooperated fully with authorities after becoming aware of the allegations earlier in the week.

In a statement, North River Christian Academy expressed concern for the wellbeing of all students, staff, and families affected, urging respect for their privacy and emphasizing that rumors only increase hardships. The school described the situation as heartbreaking for everyone involved, especially the families directly impacted, and they have been praying for those affected.

Founded in 1981 by Open Door Baptist Church to provide daycare for working mothers, the school now serves students from pre-K through 12th grade, with a mission to “equip students to glorify God in all they do.”

Authorities continue their investigation, and officials are encouraging additional victims to come forward as they seek to determine the full scope of the case.
