Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson Reunite in NYC Amid New Film Project
Actors Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, known for their roles in “Dawson’s Creek” over two decades ago, were seen together in New York City on Monday. Their reunion took place during filming for Holmes’s upcoming movie trilogy “Happy Hours,” a project she is writing, directing, and starring in.
Holmes, 46, and Jackson, 47, appeared relaxed and happy. Holmes wore a casual flannel shirt with black pants, while Jackson paired a green cargo jacket with jeans and carried a messenger bag. Holmes was seen smiling broadly on set, reflecting her enthusiasm for the project. Jackson looked at ease as well, suggesting a warm dynamic between the pair.
“Happy Hours” is a character-driven dramedy focusing on two individuals navigating relationships, career, and family challenges. The first of three films began shooting this summer, with subsequent installments to follow shortly.
Holmes and Jackson co-starred on “Dawson’s Creek,” where their characters — Joey Potter and Pacey Witter — ended up together. The two also dated in real life from 1998 to 1999, but their romantic relationship lasted about a year. Despite this history, they remain close friends. Jackson shared during a podcast appearance that their bond endures, even without frequent contact, emphasizing the deep connection forged through shared experiences and growth.
Regarding his personal life, Jackson was previously married to actress Jodie Turner-Smith; they divorced in 2024 after four years of marriage and share a daughter, Juno. Jackson has also been linked to Lupita Nyong’o, but their relationship ended by late 2024.
