Late Step-Grandson of Dog the Bounty Hunter Died in Alleged Shooting Incident
Anthony Zecca, the 13-year-old grandson of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, passed away over the weekend after an apparent accidental shooting. He was reportedly shot by his father, Gregory Zecca, in an incident that is currently under investigation.
Photos from years ago show Anthony at a shooting range with his father, Gregory. Gregory posted a now-deleted selfie of Anthony aiming a gun and giving a thumbs-up, captioned, “Getting some range time in with our buddies @franktownfirearms.”
Gregory previously shared images of himself and Anthony enjoying shooting sessions.
The tragic event occurred at the family’s apartment in Naples, Florida, with authorities arriving at the scene around 8:08 p.m. Officials confirmed that Anthony died from the injuries sustained in the incident. No arrests have been reported as the investigation continues.
Chapman and his wife, Francie Frane, expressed their grief in a statement, describing Anthony’s death as an “incomprehensible tragedy” and requesting prayers for their family during this difficult time.
The young boy’s death is regarded as a freak accident, with authorities still working to determine the details. No arrests have been made, and the case remains active.
