Colin Jost Wants a Closure Kiss from Jonathan Bailey to Reclaim Scarlett Johansson’s Affection

Colin Jost Jokes About Kissing Jonathan Bailey After Viral PDA with Scarlett Johansson

The actor and comedian Colin Jost playfully suggested that he and Jonathan Bailey, star of Bridgerton, need to share a kiss to “close the loop” following Bailey’s recent viral kiss with Jost’s wife, Scarlett Johansson, at a Jurassic World Rebirth event.

After the humorous on-screen smooch at the film’s premiere in London, Jost jokingly stated that he might have to kiss Bailey to complete the narrative arc. He shared this lighthearted remark during an interview, referencing a billboard in New York City that humorously placed his wife with a firearm pointed at him.

Jost reflected, “I don’t usually talk to the people in Times Square about anything,” adding, “It’s been amusing to see how much Jurassic-related press has sprung up unexpectedly.”

When asked about Bailey and Johansson’s viral kiss, Jost quipped, “I guess in Jurassic Park terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you didn’t see coming. Of all the threats, I wasn’t expecting it to be Jonathan!”

He went on to say, “It’s going to be okay; people tend to overreact when friends share a simple gesture like a kiss hello—it’s really quite nuts.”

Jost also noted that Bailey, who is openly gay, wasn’t acting out ofappropriateness. “Jonathan and I were on the red carpet, and we joked, ‘Should we kiss to close the loop?’” he said.

Bailey later addressed the incident at a separate Jurassic World Rebirth premiere in New York City, where further playful banter ensued.

Jost expressed his stance on expressing affection publicly, stating, “I believe it’s important to show love in various ways. If you can’t kiss your friends, life is too short.”

Meanwhile, Jurassic World Rebirth has been a box office hit, earning approximately $318 million worldwide in its opening weekend. Creators highlighted that, although they drew inspiration from previous installments, they made efforts to avoid outright copying, aiming instead for fresh storytelling within the familiar universe.
