According to odds released by Polymarket, a leading prediction market platform, JD Vance has a notable 27% chance of winning the 2028 U.S. presidential election. The betting odds suggest that many see him as a potential future leader of the country.
Vance, who is 40 years old, has spoken about the possibility of a presidential bid. He remarked, “When we get to that point, I’ll discuss it with the president and determine the next steps. I believe if we perform well, politics will follow naturally.”
In second place is California Governor Gavin Newsom, with a 14% chance. Though he previously stated he is not actively considering a run, he acknowledged the possibility of exploring it in the future. Other potential candidates include Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 10%, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg at 8%, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 6%.
Other notable figures include Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro at 5%, Vice President Kamala Harris and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tied at 4%, and former President Donald Trump, who cannot run for a third term but still holds an implied 3% chance in the prediction market.
