Charley Hull Leaves Evian Championship via Ambulance Amid Health Concerns

Charley Hull Announces Health Update Following Collapse at the Evian Championship

LPGA Tour Star Charley Hull Dealing With Scary Situation

In February 2025, Charley Hull faced a frightening moment during the third round of the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore. After experiencing nausea and vomiting, she initially believed her tournament was over. However, demonstrating resilience, Hull managed to refocus, shooting a 68 to place herself just one stroke behind the leader, Lydia Ko.

Although Hull temporarily led during the final rounds under exhausting heat and humidity, her performance was ultimately overshadowed by health issues. She finished tied for fourth place but faced a more serious incident during her first major attempt at the 2025 Evian Championship.

While playing alongside top players like Ruoning Yin and Haeran Ryu, Hull was seen sitting down near a bunker after completing her first 12 holes strongly. As she approached the fourth tee, she collapsed twice and had to withdraw from the tournament after leaving the course on a medical cart. Initially, it was reported that she was battling a virus, which was later confirmed by Hull herself in a social media post.

In her Instagram update, Hull shared: “Not the @evianchamp I was hoping for. Been struggling with a virus all week but it got the better of me yesterday… Thanks to the medics who took care of me and to everyone who messaged support. I’m feeling much better today, just disappointed I can’t play this weekend.”

Additional reports indicated Hull felt faint and was experiencing eyesight issues during the event. Her team clarified that she improved after receiving IV fluids, resting, and eating. She did not require hospitalization.

Hull’s health concerns are not new; she previously withdrew from the 2024 Aramco Team Series London after a shoulder injury caused by a fall. Despite these setbacks, the 19th-ranked golfer remains a strong competitor, consistently finishing in top positions in majors this season, with two LPGA wins.

Charley Hull’s Resilience Amidst Challenges

Hull has faced personal health challenges, including a diagnosis of severe ADHD in 2023 and degenerative arthritis in her shoulder. She has spoken openly about managing these conditions, noting that routine and focused work help her stay on top of her game. Despite the arthritis, she adapts by keeping her shoulder warm and practicing treatments like acupuncture.

Her determined attitude and ability to overcome setbacks highlight her resilience, proving that no challenge is insurmountable for this talented golfer.
