Will Ferrell Cheers Leeds at 0-0 Draw in Stockholm

Will Ferrell Attends Leeds United-Friendly Match with a Loving Gesture

Actor and Leeds United part-owner Will Ferrell was present at their pre-season friendly against Manchester United in Stockholm. Despite a dull 0-0 draw, Ferrell’s appearance caught the attention of fans in the stands.

The 58-year-old Hollywood star was seen proudly displaying a T-shirt that read “I ❤️ Gnesta,” a nod to the Swedish town where his wife, Viveca Paulin, is from. Fans responded with cheers and applause upon recognizing him.

Ferrell’s connection to football extends beyond his roles in movies; he’s been known to attend matches regularly and has posed for photos with players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold. He became a minority owner of Leeds United after falling in love with the English game in May 2024. The club recently won the Championship under Daniel Farke and aims to establish itself in the Premier League.

Ferrell previously co-owned Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer, following the footsteps of fellow Hollywood owners like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at Wrexham. Leeds fans are hopeful for a strong start in the upcoming season, with the first match against Everton, after upcoming pre-season matches against Villarreal and AC Milan.
