Snoop Dogg Becomes Co-Owner of Swansea City

Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg has announced his investment in Swansea City, marking a surprising development for the football club. Inspired by the club’s ‘underdog’ story and working-class origins, he expressed a strong connection to its roots.

Snoop revealed his excitement about joining the club’s ownership group, highlighting his admiration for Swansea’s resilient spirit. “The story of the club and the area truly resonated with me. Swansea is a proud, hardworking city—an underdog that fights back, just like me,” he said. He also vowed to do everything possible to support the team and foster its growth.

Snoop’s involvement builds on the recent trend of high-profile figures investing in the club. Former Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric also acquired a stake in Swansea in April, after a takeover by American businessmen last November.
