Leeds United Sign Sean Longstaff from Newcastle for £12 Million

Leeds United have officially secured the services of midfielder Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United in a deal valued at approximately £12 million. The player has committed to a four-year contract and will join Leeds’ squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Longstaff, 27, brings significant top-flight experience, having made 171 appearances and scored 10 goals for Newcastle. The midfielder becomes the fifth new signing for Leeds this summer, following recent additions including Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lukas Nmecha, and Jaka Bijol. The club secured promotion last season, and preparations are underway for their upcoming Premier League campaign. Leeds will kick off their top-flight return at home against Everton on August 18.

Longstaff will join Leeds at an important juncture, bringing experience and depth to Daniel Farke’s squad as they seek to establish themselves back in the Premier League after their relegation in 2023.
