American Idol Boss and Husband Murdered in Los Angeles Home

Double Homicide in Encino: “American Idol” Music Supervisor Robin Kaye and Husband Found Dead

An award-winning music supervisor for “American Idol” and her husband were discovered murdered inside their upscale Los Angeles home. The victims, Robin Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca, both aged 70, were found during a welfare check after neighbors reported missing contact for four days.

Investigators believe the couple was killed in their residence, which is valued at around $4.5 million. The scene indicated gunshot wounds to the head for both victims. Robin Kaye was located in the pantry, while Deluca was found in the bathroom. Bloodstains and a broken window at the entrance suggest a possible forced entry, though the home appeared largely undisturbed, hinting at a possible targeted attack rather than a burglary.

Authorities responded after neighbors saw a suspicious individual climbing over a fence, but no evidence of foul play was initially uncovered. Surveillance footage points to a smashed sliding glass door, possibly used for entry. The motive remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified.

Kaye’s contributions to “American Idol” spanned over 15 seasons, earning her multiple awards from the Guild of Music Supervisors. She also worked on shows like “Lip Sync Battle,” and events such as Miss USA and Miss Universe. Her work was highly regarded within the industry.

The estate was previously owned by rapper Juice WRLD, who passed away from an accidental overdose in 2019. Neighbors in Encino describe their area as generally secluded but have expressed concern over frequent break-ins and burglaries, including recent incidents involving high-profile figures and businesses.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The incident has shocked the local community, highlighting ongoing security concerns in the neighborhood.
