Nicki Minaj & SZA Battle on Social Media: “Sounding Like a Dead Dog”
Nicki Minaj Launches Insulting Attack on SZA in Social Media Feud
Rapper Nicki Minaj recently exchanged harsh words with SZA, describing her voice as akin to a “dead dog” during a heated social media dispute.
The conflict sparked when Minaj accused SZA’s manager and record label president, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, of bullying. Minaj then took a shot at SZA herself, calling her voice “f–king dead dog,” and questioning her morals and integrity after SZA made a subtle online remark about Mercury retrograde, which Minaj interpreted as a diss.
Minaj continued to criticize SZA, suggesting that if her music vanished, the industry wouldn’t miss her, claiming she’s never been known outside of her immediate circles. SZA responded by dismissing Minaj’s comments as “weird s–t” and clarifying that her previous tweet wasn’t directed at anyone in particular.
The rapper also took issue with SZA’s decision to re-release her album “SOS” as a deluxe version, accusing her of trying to break records through manipulation. Minaj further mocked SZA’s voice and asked what she is doing with her career, referencing her recent actions as “insecure” and lacking morals.
SZA retaliated, posting her own message that she’s focused on her success and well-being, stating that she’s “successful” and loved “in real life,” contrasting her online experience with the support she receives at her concerts. She also mentioned her ongoing tour with Kendrick Lamar and emphasized her personal well-being, asserting she’s in good health and success.
The feud has garnered attention, but representatives from both artists have yet to comment. This dispute echoes previous conflicts involving Minaj, including a well-known feud with Cardi B, culminating in a shoe-throwing incident in 2018, and a recent lesser-known disagreement with Megan Thee Stallion.
