Blake Lively’s Lawsuit Against Justin Baldoni Faces Setback

Blake Lively’s Claims Dismissed in Social Media Dispute

The legal case brought by Blake Lively against social media PR expert Jed Wallace has been thrown out. The actress accused Wallace of helping Justin Baldoni’s PR team to orchestrate a smear campaign against her.

A judge ruled that Wallace and his company, Street Relations Inc., cannot be sued in New York because they are based in Texas. The court explained that there was no sufficient connection to New York to establish jurisdiction, as Wallace’s activities did not directly target the state.

“The Wallace defendants are located in Texas, and Lively has not claimed that they committed acts that would make them accountable in New York. The few actions linked to New York were carried out by others, and there is no evidence Wallace knew about or was responsible for them,” the court documents stated.

This decision means that, if Lively wishes to continue her lawsuit against Wallace, she must amend her complaint or pursue her case elsewhere. Court records also highlighted that Wallace’s legal team appreciated the judge’s careful review of the case.

Lively had previously claimed that Wallace “weaponized a digital army” to create harmful content about her, accusing him of doing so after being hired by Baldoni’s team. Wallace denied these allegations. Lively has also filed a separate lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and reputational harm, which he has denied. Wallace responded by filing his own suit against Lively, alleging defamation related to her claims against Baldoni.

In a statement, Wallace’s lawyer expressed satisfaction with the court’s ruling, emphasizing the lack of jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Lively’s representatives did not immediately comment on the dismissal.
