Miranda Lambert Seeks Prayers After Texas Flood Devastates Her State
Miranda Lambert Calls for Support After Texas Floods
Country singer Miranda Lambert is leveraging her platform to raise awareness about the devastating floods impacting her home state of Texas. On July 5, she took to social media to express her heartbreak over the severe flooding that occurred during the Fourth of July holiday.
In a heartfelt Instagram video, Lambert shared, “Hey y’all. I just want to say how devastated we are about the floods in South and Central Texas. Words can’t fully express the loss everyone is experiencing.”
As an animal lover, Lambert revealed her efforts through the MuttNation Foundation, a nonprofit she co-founded with her mother in 2009, to assist those affected. She explained, “Our foundation is working closely with Kerrville Pets Alive to assess needs and support pet owners during this disaster.”
She urged the public to join her in helping, saying, “We’ll share updates as we learn more. Please continue to send prayers and support, and I’ll keep you posted.”
According to reports, heavy rainfall on July 4 triggered catastrophic flooding in parts of Central Texas, especially Kerr County and near the Guadalupe River. By July 5, the death toll had risen to 43, including 15 children. Contributions to the MuttNation Foundation can be made through their official website to aid flood victims and their pets.
