Manchester United Player Rejects Saudi Arabia Offer and Aims to Stay in the Premier League
Alejandro Garnacho, a winger for Manchester United, has turned down an approach from Al-Nassr, showing his desire to remain in England’s top flight. The 21-year-old is among several players expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, with manager Ruben Amorim eager to facilitate moves for some squad members.
Garnacho has been sidelined in pre-season training, indicating he is seeking a transfer away from the club. Despite rumours linking him to Saudi Arabia, he has declined the chance to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, a move that has now been ruled out.
The Argentine international prefers to continue his career in England, with Napoli reportedly expressing interest in signing him. Napoli had previously made a £40 million bid in January, which was rejected by Manchester United, who value the player at over £50 million.
Napoli’s president, Aurelio Di Laurentiis, recently praised Garnacho’s ability, calling him a talented player with significant potential. However, he emphasized that Napoli’s interest is motivated by Garnacho’s current position at United, believing the player’s development would benefit from a move abroad.
Garnacho, who joined United’s academy in 2020 from Atletico Madrid for around £420,000, has spent five years with the club. Any transfer to Serie A could also reconnect him with former teammate Scott McTominay. Despite the speculation, Garnacho remains committed to staying in the Premier League.
