Justin Baldoni Responds to Blake Lively’s Foot-Stomping Deposition Challenge
Legal Dispute Over Deposition Location Between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively
Justin Baldoni’s legal team has responded to requests from actress Blake Lively to have her deposition scheduled at her lawyer’s office, citing concerns over paparazzi presence. Baldoni’s lawyers argue there is no evidence supporting her claim of fear of being ambushed, noting the offices are just about a mile apart in New York City.
They further contend that holding the deposition at her lawyer’s office could put Baldoni at a disadvantage, as they might need private space for discussions during the process. Lively’s representatives have previously accused Baldoni’s attorney of attempting to turn the deposition into a spectacle, even suggesting plans to televise it from Madison Square Garden, which the actor’s team strongly opposes.
Lively, 37, is currently suing Baldoni, 41, over allegations of sexual harassment during filming of their movie “It Ends With Us”. She also claims his publicists orchestrated a smear campaign against her. Baldoni has denied the allegations and countersued for defamation and extortion, though that suit was dismissed last month by a judge.
The actress is scheduled to give her deposition this Thursday in New York City. Her representatives have expressed confidence that the proceeding will follow standard legal protocols without spectacle, emphasizing their readiness with video footage, emails, and texts to support her case.
