Suspect Killed in Police Chase After Being Hit by Car

A suspect involved in an armed robbery was killed after being struck by a vehicle while fleeing police on an electric bike. The incident unfolded after police responded to a reported holdup in Queens and the chase concluded in Nassau County.

Police arrived at 256-17 Hillside Avenue around 8:01 p.m. following reports of an armed robbery. The suspect fled on a motorized bicycle, prompting officers to pursue him. The chase ended at the intersection of Lakeview Road and Bryant Avenue in Nassau County, where the suspect was hit by a Lexus.

He was declared dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity or age. The investigation is currently ongoing as police from both jurisdictions continue their inquiries.
