The couple’s romance began after Kelce attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet at her concert in Kansas City in July 2023, but he was unsuccessful. Kelce later admitted on his podcast that he was slightly hurt about not being able to present her with his bracelet, explaining, “I took it personal.”

Swift and Kelce confirmed their relationship in September 2023, shortly after their initial encounter.
