Powerlifting Star Stefi Cohen Arrested for Domestic Violence

Powerlifting Star Stefi Cohen Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges

Stefi Cohen, a renowned powerlifting influencer, was taken into custody in Miami on Wednesday, facing charges related to domestic violence. The 33-year-old, also known as Dr. Stefi Cohen, was previously involved in a scandal where she was accused of hacking into her ex-boyfriend’s laptop and posting nude images of his current girlfriend.

The arrest followed reports that Cohen did not comply with police instructions and attempted to walk briskly back to her home. She was detained after resisting arrest, during which she allegedly used her leg to sweep a police officer off his feet while in handcuffs.

Cohen, who transitioned from powerlifting to boxing with a record of 4 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw, was most recently seen competing in June 2023. Despite her athletic accomplishments, her recent legal issues have overshadowed her sporting achievements.

She allegedly accessed her ex-boyfriend’s iCloud account in March 2022 after he left behind a device at a former shared residence. Cohen reportedly found intimate photos of his new partner and shared them in a group chat, claiming her intent was to humiliate and expose her. The victims reported the incidents to police in November 2023, leading to her arrest the following year.

Previously, Cohen faced multiple charges, including unauthorized computer access and cyber harassment. She is a record-breaking athlete, holding all-time world records for the squat, deadlift, and total in the 123-pound weight class, according to recent reports.

The Venezuelan-born athlete competed actively in powerlifting from 2015 to 2020 and has amassed more than a million followers on social media. She was reportedly dating influencer Tristan Hamm, who has over 1.9 million followers, prior to her arrest.

Her legal troubles and online controversies have generated significant media attention, casting a shadow over her impressive athletic career.
