Teen Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing on Long Island
A 15-year-old undocumented immigrant has been taken into custody after reportedly stabbing a man to death in Mineola. Authorities responded to a residence on Roosevelt Place around 12:30 a.m. Friday, discovering a 32-year-old man with a fatal stab wound to his abdomen.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, described as having a youthful appearance, was apprehended at the scene. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman stated that the teenager was in the country illegally.
Officials have not disclosed whether the suspect and the victim knew each other nor confirmed the immigration status of the teen. The young individual is charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in the Youth Section of First District Court for arraignment on Saturday.
