Over the past year, McGraw underwent three back surgeries and double knee replacements. He explained on a radio show that his initial surgery was before a tour last year but didn’t recover well, leading to complications. During his tour, both knees failed, necessitating further surgery.

Following his surgeries, McGraw experienced setbacks, including a re-injured back, which even caused him to withdraw from a Netflix project about a champion bull rider. Despite these challenges, he recently mentioned feeling better, though some mornings remain difficult.
