Islanders’ Rookie Camp: A Full 360 Moment for Long Island Trio
Longtime Skater Celebrates Memorable Milestone with Islanders
Brandon Chabrier was reminiscing about his journey at Northwell Health Ice Rink, where he’s spent more time than the Islanders have played there. He first laced up his skates at the facility, then known as Twin Rinks Ice Center, when it opened in 2014 as an 11-year-old. The Islanders began using the rink for their practices in 2016.
On the first day of the team’s development camp, Chabrier couldn’t hide his joy as he stood in the Islanders’ modern locker room at the East Meadow training center. His beaming smile reflected pride and excitement for this new chapter.
Adding to the significance, Chabrier shared the ice with fellow Long Islanders and former teammates from Portledge School in Locust Valley, Ross Mitton and Marshall Warren. This moment marked a special reunion and a milestone in his hockey journey.
