Florida Man Hijacks Key West Train for Meth-Fueled Birthday Joyride

Man Hijacks Sightseeing Train in Florida While High on Meth

On his 57th birthday, a man in Florida made headlines after stealing a trackless sightseeing train, even picking up passengers, while under the influence of methamphetamine.

Jonathan Patrick Winslow gained unauthorized access to the Conch Tour Train Depot in Key West by convincing a staff member he used to work there and asking for a tour. According to arrest reports, he seized the opportunity when an employee handed over the keys, believing Winslow had permission.

Winslow then sped away on the train, leaving the employee confused. Authorities quickly responded after the theft was reported; the GPS tracker showed the train was downtown. Remarkably, he managed to persuade two unsuspecting bystanders to join him on the ride.
