A pediatrician has been dismissed after posting a highly inappropriate message regarding the recent devastating floods in Texas. The now-deleted social media post claimed that over 80 flood victims, including many children, were supporters of former President Trump who deserved their fate.

Dr. Christina B. Propst, using an old Facebook account under the name Chris Tina, made a post saying, “May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters, and pets be safe and dry,” which garnered widespread criticism.

The post became viral after being shared on Twitter. Propst’s employer, Blue Fish Pediatrics, initially announced she was suspended but later confirmed she no longer works there. The company condemned her comments, stating that her statements do not align with their values or mission.

The Texas Medical Board has not announced a formal investigation. Authorities and community members expressed outrage over the remarks, describing them as callous and unprofessional. The medical system also issued a statement disavowing the comments and reaffirming their commitment to compassionate care for all patients.

Local officials report at least 82 fatalities due to the floods, with 27 victims at Camp Mystic alone, which caters to girls along the Guadalupe River. The camp was heavily affected, with many structures inundated by floodwaters, leading to tragic losses.
