Murder Probe Launched During Brian Tarrence Search
Body Found During Search for Missing Man in Turks and Caicos
Authorities on a Caribbean island are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body believed to be that of a man missing for over two weeks. The Turks and Caicos Police announced that the remains, found on Saturday, are now under investigation as a suspected homicide.
The missing person, 51-year-old Brian Tarrence from Manhattan, disappeared shortly after arriving for a vacation with his wife to celebrate their anniversary. He was last seen leaving their Airbnb in Providenciales around 3 a.m. on July 2.
Despite ongoing efforts to locate him, Tarrence was not seen again until his body was uncovered. The police have not yet officially identified the remains but stated they are working to confirm the person’s identity and will notify next of kin once confirmed.
The investigation follows Tarrence’s sudden disappearance, which was reportedly due to him wandering off during the early morning hours while his wife slept. An ex-NYPD officer hired to assist in the case indicated that local officials are actively pursuing all leads.
