Man United Set to Keep Andre Onana as Suitors Miss Transfer Fee Deadline
Manchester United Sets £30 Million Transfer Price for Andre Onana; Club Expects Keeper to Stay
Manchester United has placed a £30 million valuation on goalkeeper Andre Onana, although it appears he is likely to remain at Old Trafford this summer. The club’s asking price was revealed after Monaco inquired about acquiring the Cameroonian international late last month.
Sources indicate that Monaco remains interested but is unlikely to meet the £30 million fee, especially considering Onana’s previous transfer from Inter Milan for around £47.2 million two years ago.
Saudi Pro League newcomers SC Neom also showed interest in Onana before signing Polish international Marcin Bulka from Nice. Despite the transfer speculation, United sources suggest Onana prefers to stay and is expected to continue as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper this season.
The player has already returned to training, and the coaching staff, including manager Ruben Amorim and goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital, are reportedly satisfied with his performance, despite ongoing rumors linking him with a move to Aston Villa and their goalkeeper Emi Martinez.

Manchester United is more focused on signing a striker, central midfielder, and center-back, possibly including Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. The club also plans to generate funds by offloading players like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and others, although a full sale is unlikely. Some players may be loaned out to reduce their wage bills ahead of the upcoming pre-season tour to the US.
