Diddy’s Former Chef Fears Retaliation After Verdict
Fears for Safety Following Diddy’s Sex Trafficking Trial Verdict
A former personal chef to Sean “Diddy” Combs has expressed concern for her safety after the rapper’s recent federal sex trafficking trial verdict. Although Diddy was acquitted of the most serious charges, he was found guilty of transporting individuals for prostitution.
The 55-year-old artist was convicted on two counts related to facilitating prostitution but was cleared of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. In response, Jourdan Atkinson, who claims to have been both a witness and a victim of physical abuse by Diddy, submitted a letter requesting that he be denied bail pending sentencing, which a judge subsequently approved.
Atkinson later shared her concerns publicly via social media, posting videos and a subpoena from the Southern District of New York received in 2024. She alleged that Diddy had physically mistreated her during her employment and expressed her fear of retaliation following the verdict.
In her statements, she affirmed her stance on her prior claims and accused Diddy of abusing his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel surveillance video shared last year. Atkinson shared her emotional distress, saying she felt unsafe and traumatized by the entire process, questioning the fairness of the case and warning of potential danger to herself and others.
The trial’s outcome lessens the potential sentencing for Diddy—from a possible life sentence to a maximum of 10 years on each prostitution charge. However, he still faces significant jail time and consequences, with the possibility of a lengthy sentence avoided due to the acquittals on the more severe charges.
Atkinson’s statements and the trial’s outcome highlight ongoing concerns about safety and justice in cases involving high-profile figures and serious allegations.
