World’s Most Expensive Motorcycle Revealed!
Exploring Jay Leno’s Remarkable Motorcycle Collection
Many motorcycle enthusiasts dream of a “Dream Garage” filled with rare and classic bikes, from a Ducati 916SPS to vintage Tritons and Yamaha XT500 trail bikes. Some have achieved this dream through wealth and ingenuity, and none perhaps compare to the extensive collection of former TV host Jay Leno.
Located in an industrial park near Burbank, California, Leno’s “garage” is more accurately described as an empire, having expanded since 1990 to encompass multiple buildings. It boasts over 180 cars, 80 motorcycles, and a dedicated team of staff, making it one of the top private collections in the country.
For motorcycle enthusiasts, the true highlight is Leno’s collection of more than two dozen Brough Superiors—regarded as the Rolls-Royce of motorcycles. His collection of 26 Broughs is the largest in the world, and he uses one as his daily rider, equipped with modern Michelin tires.
Despite his seasoned experience, Leno humorously admits, “Right now I’m in my motorcycle phase,” highlighting his love for Brough Superiors, which he modifies for better handling—though he jokes that the bikes’ brakes and rear functionality are still limited.
He comments on modern bike advancements, noting that speeds haven’t significantly changed since the 1930s, but brakes, tires, and handling have seen major improvements. “I think I’ve got another decade of riding in me before a crash ends it,” he adds with a smile.
Before leaving, Leno demonstrates his Y2K gas turbine bike and rides off into the night on his treasured Brough. His collection remains unmatched, but if you think you’ve got a dream garage, perhaps it’s time to show the world!
