US to Arm I:sra:el with Bunker-Busting Nukes if I:ra:n Turns Nuclear
US Moves to Equip Israel with Advanced Military Support amid Iran Nuclear Tensions
The United States is considering authorization to supply Israel with B-2 stealth bombers and powerful bunker-buster bombs, should Iran recommence its nuclear weapons program. A proposed bipartisan bill, known as the Bunker Buster Act, would empower the President to provide Israel with the tools necessary for potential conflict scenarios involving Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
The legislation is aimed at bolstering Israel’s defensive capabilities, with supporters emphasizing the threat Iran poses due to its history of sponsoring terrorism and attacking its regional neighbors. “Iran must never possess a nuclear weapon,” said one of the bill’s proponents, underscoring the urgency to prepare Israel for all contingencies.
Last month, B-2 pilots participated in a historic strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, deploying massive bunker-buster bombs capable of penetrating up to 200 feet underground. President Trump claimed the attack had effectively disabled Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Following the strikes, Iran’s underground uranium enrichment facilities at Fordow were rendered non-operational, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Nonetheless, there are reports that Iran may have moved enriched uranium stockpiles to safer locations prior to the attack, though officials deny these claims.
International monitors warn Iran could resume enriching uranium within months, leveraging existing technological and industrial capacities. Despite the damage inflicted, experts believe Iran retains the ability to restart nuclear activities if it chooses to do so.
