New Investigation Into Gary Coleman’s 2010 Death

In the upcoming two-hour episode of Lie Detector: Truth or Deception, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Harry, Coleman’s ex-wife, Shannon Price, agrees to a polygraph test to address lingering questions about her potential involvement. Although she has never faced charges, the episode explores whether her past decisions and public perception might be misjudged or if new doubts arise.

Gary Coleman died in 2010 from a brain hemorrhage after a fall at his Utah home. Price, his former wife, had married him in 2007, but they divorced a year later, although they continued living together. After Coleman suffered a brain bleed and was placed in a coma, Price removed him from life support two days later. Her decision has since faced public scrutiny, especially after claims from his former partner that Coleman had an advanced directive requesting extended care.

Price maintains her innocence, stating she would have never harmed her husband. She recounted in a documentary how she was in bed when she asked Coleman to prepare her food after his dialysis session. She reported hearing a loud noise and found Coleman bleeding on the kitchen floor, calling emergency services but reportedly refusing to follow the operator’s instructions to assist him.

Investigators at the time classified Coleman’s death as accidental. Officials stated there was nothing suspicious, and his death certificate listed the cause as an accident. In interviews, Price described her efforts to help Coleman after the fall, emphasizing her traumatic experience witnessing the incident.

The new episode of the series is set to premiere on July 10 at 9 p.m. ET, with subsequent episodes airing weekly, continuing the quest to understand the true story behind Coleman’s untimely passing.
