She was dressed comfortably in a white T-shirt from her 2018 “Laugh Your Head Off” Tour and black pants, finishing her outfit with sneakers, accompanied by a male friend.

In photos, Griffin’s appearance was notably different—she had stripped away her typical red bangs, exposing her forehead to the sun. Griffin has a history of undergoing radical hair transformations, including shaving her head in 2017 to support her then-ailing sister. Since that event, she’s often worn wigs she calls her “magic hair” to switch up her look.

This spontaneous appearance contrasts sharply with her recent online activity. Just days earlier, Griffin posted a video on YouTube dressed glamorously with full makeup and her signature wig, explaining why she declined a $1.4 million offer to co-host “The View” in the mid-2000s. She revealed that her busy schedule, including touring and caring for her parents, made it impossible to uproot her life for the show.

Recounting her decision, Griffin shared that she felt she owed longtime colleague Barbara Walters an explanation. She told Walters, “It’s not that I think I’m too good for the show; it’s that the show is too good for me.” She clarified that moving costs and her deep involvement with her family made accepting the offer unfeasible at the time.
