Jadon Sancho Negotiates Play for European Clubs as He Prepares to Leave Manchester United

Jadon Sancho, the 25-year-old winger, is in advanced discussions with top European clubs, notably Juventus, as he looks to depart from Manchester United after a challenging four-year stint. Having joined United in 2021 for £73 million, Sancho has struggled to make a significant impact, netting just nine league goals during his time at Old Trafford.

The player has not featured for United since clashing publicly with former manager Erik ten Hag, who criticized his training regimen. His loan to Borussia Dortmund last year was followed by a season at Chelsea, where despite scoring in the Europa Conference League final, his overall performances remained inconsistent. Chelsea opted to pay United a £5 million fee to terminate his loan rather than sign him permanently for £25 million.

Sources report that Sancho has held “positive” negotiations with Juventus, where both sides appear eager to reach an agreement. While he is open to a move, negotiations need to settle on personal terms, with his wage demands reportedly exceeding £300,000 weekly. Manchester United is seeking a transfer fee of around £25 million, though as a result of his high salary, a loan deal remains a possibility.

In addition to a potential transfer, Juventus is considering a swap deal involving Sancho, with three players—Douglas Luiz, Dusan Vlahovic, and Timothy Weah—potentially heading to United. All three players are reportedly available for transfer, though it’s unclear whether they would all be involved in the deal.

This continues a period of upheaval for Juventus, who recently exited the Club World Cup after a defeat to Real Madrid. They plan to bolster their squad with the signing of free agent striker Jonathan David and are looking to offload Vlahovic while showing interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
