Man Goes on Road Rage Rampage in Milwaukee
A motorist in Milwaukee erupted in violence during a road rage incident, smashing another vehicle’s windows with a stick in the middle of traffic. The confrontation was captured on video, showing the aggressive driver, identified as Mike Chaltry, leaving his car and attacking a white Nissan behind him on a busy downtown freeway.
The Nissan attempt to retreat during the chaos, but Chaltry continued his attack, striking the vehicle multiple times. As the car tried to speed away, it nearly pinned Chaltry against another vehicle. Despite the chaos, Chaltry managed to follow on foot and deliver several final blows before the incident ceased.
Chaltry explained that the altercation escalated after the other driver recklessly cut him off, nearly causing a collision. He said the other motorist then followed him off the highway and approached his car at a red light, punching him multiple times through the window. In response, Chaltry grabbed his stick and defended himself.
Chaltry suffered injuries, including a broken nose that required stitches, after being punched through his car window. He described the incident as life-threatening, accusing the other driver of putting him in danger multiple times. Despite the provocation, Chaltry expressed frustration over the violence, asserting he had valid reasons for his anger.
The police later arrested the other driver for suspected assault and issued citations for driving without insurance and registration. Chaltry faces potential charges for disorderly conduct and property damage, with his case now moving forward in Milwaukee County.
