Will Grad Schools Survive Loan Caps? Shocking Insights on Christian Slaughter & Education Crisis!

Who Will End the Persecution of Christians?

On June 13, over 500 Christians were murdered by Islamic militants in Nigeria, according to reports. The jihadists stormed into homes and shelters, killing residents with machetes, then set bodies and property ablaze after pouring petrol on them. While this atrocity was particularly brutal and large in scale, it reflects a persistent pattern of violence against Christians in Nigeria. Since 2009, militants have destroyed over 18,000 churches, killed more than 50,000 Christians, and displaced around 5 million. Despite these tragic figures, Western governments and media have largely ignored the ongoing crisis. The question remains: will there be any effort to halt this ongoing slaughter?

Support for Grad School Loan Caps

A new provision in the Republican “Big Beautiful Bill” aims to reform long-standing student loan policies that have encouraged high-cost programs and heavy debt burdens among students. The House bill eliminates the Unlimited Graduate PLUS loan program, capping graduate borrowing at $100,000, with higher limits for professional programs and an overall lifetime cap of $200,000. These restrictions could incentivize colleges to lower tuition prices once unlimited government funding is removed. To truly make education more affordable, there needs to be a focus on incentivizing medical and professional schools to stop overcharging students.

NYC’s Political Dominance and its Impact

Analysts observe that the rise of socialist Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani signals the ongoing dominance of New York City in national Democratic politics. Key leaders like Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Bernie Sanders—all either from New York—illustrate this trend. Some experts argue that Democratic efforts to broaden their appeal beyond coastal regions are unlikely to include elevating figures like Mamdani, whose policies and rhetoric reflect city-centric politics that may not resonate nationwide.

Controversies Surrounding Jewish Politics

Before New York’s mayoral primary, late-night host Stephen Colbert hosted Zohran Mamdani and City Comptroller Brad Lander, who openly supported Mamdani’s bid. Mamdani—known for defending controversial anti-Zionist slogans—has faced criticism for his stance on violence against Jews. Colbert’s show has been accused of shielding left-wing anti-Semitic views, with Lander’s alliances seen as part of a broader movement to normalize these sentiments. Critics suggest that this reflects a weakening of New York’s Jewish political influence, with prominent figures like Senator Chuck Schumer publicly aligning with controversial figures.

Left-Wing Mental Health Trends

While Representative Jasmine Crockett claimed Trump supporters are mentally ill, data suggests the opposite. Surveys indicate that 90% of conservatives rate their mental health as excellent or good, compared to only 20% of liberals. Conversely, 45% of liberals report poor mental health, against 19% of conservatives. This pattern, consistent over the years, points to greater emotional stability among conservatives. Many believe that the dissatisfaction and unhappiness prevalent in leftist circles are driving their persistent negativity, which contrasts with the relatively higher well-being among conservatives.
