Shocking! Texas Man Admits to Killing His Flight Attendant Roommate—Police Reveal the Horrific Details
Texas Man Confesses to Killing Flight Attendant Roommate and Disposing of Her Body
A man from Fort Worth, Texas, has admitted to strangling his roommate, Rana Nofal Soluri, a 47-year-old flight attendant, during an argument. He then reportedly threw her body from a bridge, leading to a lengthy investigation.
Dennis William Day was taken into custody and charged with her murder. Soluri had been missing since March and was last contacted in a text message on March 19. She was living with Day for about a year before her disappearance and had recently taken leave for surgery, with plans to return to work on March 31 that never materialized.
According to police reports, Day claimed to have killed Soluri on the kitchen floor after she threatened to call the police, though it’s unclear what prompted her to do so. He reportedly moved her body outside, after which he disconnected her surveillance system to cover his tracks.
On June 23, authorities searched Day’s residence and found footage showing him dragging a seemingly lifeless body into his backyard. In later interviews, he allegedly confessed to losing control and strangling her out of frustration. He then disposed of her body in a trash bin, drove near Bowie, Texas, and dumped her into a river off a bridge. During the same trip, he reportedly threw her phone into the water and discarded her belongings along with a revolver that matched her firearm.
Cell phone data indicated her last outgoing call occurred on March 21 near Scott Avenue, consistent with the area where Day claimed to have dumped her remains. Despite multiple searches, her body has not been recovered; flooding may have swept her away.
Day was held at Tarrant County Jail on a $200,000 bond, facing charges related to her death.
