Home Lifted by Tornado in Florida During Severe Storms

A frightening video captured the moment a tornado in Florida’s Largo area lifted a house into the air, with a woman still inside the residence. The footage, recorded by a neighbor’s doorbell camera, showed powerful winds causing the house in Ranchero Village to rise off its foundation before crashing back down amidst debris swirling around.

Neighbor Martha Hicks, whose video documented the event, described the terrifying scene: “There was a lady inside, and when the house went up, it stayed suspended for a second before coming down.” She reported speaking with the woman afterward, who had rolled multiple times during the tornado and was covered in debris before managing to free herself once the house settled.

Videos also show debris flying through the air, hitting nearby homes and scattering around the neighborhood as the tornado tore through the area. The storm, which touched down Wednesday night, brought heavy hail and violent winds to Pinellas County, causing significant property damage.

Despite the extensive property damage, no injuries have been reported among residents. Local authorities confirmed that all individuals involved were accounted for and unharmed.
