Michelle Obama Addresses Marriage Rumors and Public Appearances

Michelle Obama has publicly discussed and dismissed persistent rumors about problems in her marriage to Barack Obama. She explained that the limited number of photos together is due to their age, joking that they are “too old” for Instagram.

In an interview, she said, “The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage. It’s like, ‘OK, so we don’t Instagram every minute of our lives. We are 60. We’re 60, y’all,’” she stated.

She also shared that she has deliberately chosen not to attend certain major events, including funerals and inaugurations, to maintain her autonomy and set personal boundaries. Her decision was met with some criticism, but she emphasized that she stands by her choices.

“That was a part of me using my ambition to define what I want to do, apart from what I’m expected to do,” she explained. “And I have to own that. Those are my choices, and I don’t regret them now.”

Michelle has openly addressed these topics on her own podcast, “IMO,” which she hosts with her brother, Craig Robinson. She also pointed out that if her marriage truly faced serious issues, she wouldn’t keep quiet about it, as she’s transparent about her life.

Despite the rumors, the Obamas have been seen publicly enjoying dates and quality time together, including recent appearances at restaurants in Washington, DC, showing that their relationship remains strong amidst speculation.
