Man United Offer Over £60M AGAIN for Brentford Star Bryan Mbeumo – Will They Seal the Deal?
Manchester United Make Second Bid Over £60 Million for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United has submitted an improved offer exceeding £60 million for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. This marks their second bid after an initial £55 million offer was rejected earlier this month.
Mbeumo, who scored 20 Premier League goals last season, has been a key target for United’s manager Ruben Amorim. The club is eager to finalize the transfer before the start of their pre-season training, which begins the week of July 7.
The Red Devils aim to bolster their attacking options, having scored only 44 goals last season—the second-lowest among non-relegated Premier League teams. Since transferring from Brentford for £5.8 million, Mbeumo has netted 70 goals in 242 appearances, including 42 goals in 136 league matches.
The 25-year-old, whose contract expires next year (with an option for Brentford to extend it by another year), is viewed as a priority signing by the club’s football hierarchy. If successful, he would become United’s second summer signing, following the £62.5 million deal for Matheus Cunha.
United has kept a low profile publicly regarding the negotiations, but efforts to reach an agreement continue behind the scenes.
