Actor Dermot Mulroney and Singer Prima Apollinaare Split After 14 Years of Marriage

Dermot Mulroney has filed for divorce from Prima Apollinaare, ending their marriage that lasted over a decade. Court documents reveal that the actor, 61, initiated the divorce process in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the primary reason. The specific date of separation has not been disclosed.

The couple, who married in 2008, shares two children: Mabel, 17, and Sally, 15. Mulroney requested that spousal support be awarded to him but asked for any support obligations for Apollinaare, a 52-year-old singer, to be terminated. The terms for child support and custody are still to be determined.

The pair has publicly expressed support and admiration for each other’s careers. Apollinaare, who previously expressed her support for Mulroney’s acting work, told an entertainment publication that she’s seen almost all of his films, except “Scream VI,” due to her distaste for the horror genre. She praised his work as excellent and expressed her genuine appreciation.

Mulroney, who married Apollinaare following his split from his first wife, Catherine Keener, has spoken openly about their quick decision to marry, saying in 2012 that “a lot of it doesn’t make sense, but you can’t deny your heart.”

The Hollywood duo has been seen together at various events, sharing moments of their personal and professional lives. Most recently, they performed together on a televised show, illustrating their close bond and shared interests, particularly in music. Mulroney once described their relationship as being “a musical family.”
