During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers did not shy away from criticizing what he calls a “sick society” obsessed with celebrity relationships.

“It’s a sick society,” Rodgers stated, reflecting on his two decades of living in the spotlight. He questioned how previous public relationships turned out, hinting at the baggage that comes with being constantly scrutinized. Rodgers shared his desire for privacy, emphasizing that his current partner prefers to stay out of the limelight. “I didn’t sign up to be a celebrity,” he remarked, adding that paparazzi are relentless in trying to capture photos of his wife.

The athlete also denounced the entitlement some fans and media show toward celebrities’ private lives, calling it “so f–king ridiculous and embarrassing.” Rodgers made it clear that he intends to keep his personal life private, asserting that his wife does not have social media and that his family remains uninformed about his personal details.

The NFL star, who recently signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2025-2026 season, acknowledged he chose to remain in the public eye for one more year. However, he assured that once his playing career ends, he plans to retreat from the spotlight and lead a more private life.

“My private life is my private life. It’s gonna stay that way,” Rodgers emphasized, reaffirming his commitment to privacy and respecting his partner’s wish to avoid social media and public exposure. He also mentioned that his family, with whom he’s currently estranged, won’t have any insight into his personal matters.
