Ukraine Praises Tr:um:p for I:ra:n Strikes as Ex-Russian Prez Suggests Giving Tehran Nukes!
Ukraine Supports US Strike on Iran, Warns of Risks
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expressed support for recent U.S. military actions targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, emphasizing the importance of preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. They stated that these strikes send a clear message to Iran that destabilizing regional security is unacceptable.
Ukraine also highlighted Iran’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, accusing the regime of providing military assistance to Russia, including drones and related technology used to attack Ukrainian infrastructure and civilians.
Historically, Ukraine once held the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal after the Soviet Union’s collapse but agreed to relinquish it under the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, receiving security assurances from the U.S., Russia, and the UK.
The Ukrainian government voiced hope that the sanctions and strikes would promote stability and a better future for Iranians, who they say deserve peace and prosperity alongside nations like Israel.
Russia condemned the strikes strongly. Dmitry Medvedev, a former Russian President and current deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, issued a severe warning on social media. He claimed several countries might be prepared to supply Iran with nuclear warheads, warning that this escalation could undermine global security and diminish the prospects of peace awards for U.S. leaders.
He tweeted, “A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads. At this rate, Trump can forget about the Nobel Peace Prize—what a way to start his term.”
Medvedev’s comments reflect concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which include at least eight nuclear-armed nations: China, India, France, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, the UK, and the US, while Israel’s nuclear status remains undisclosed.
Vice President JD Vance responded to Medvedev’s threats, dismissing them as unrepresentative of Russian official policy. He asserted Russia has consistently opposed Iran developing nuclear weapons and suggested that Putin’s stance should be considered the official position.
