President Trump Amid Iran Nuclear Facility Strikes
Photos reveal President Trump in the White House Situation Room during the recent coordinated strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites, but notably, one key official was absent from the images.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who had previously publicly disagreed with Trump over assessments of Iran’s nuclear efforts, was not present in the photos despite being in the room.
Gabbard had assured lawmakers in March that Iran was not developing a nuclear weapon, a stance contradicted by Trump, who recently dismissed her comments.
In the released photos, Trump is seen seated between Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, observing the airstrikes, wearing a suit and a red “Make America Great Again” hat.
Despite the prior disagreement, Gabbard confirmed she was in the Situation Room during the operation, although she was not photographed. Several other officials, including White House deputies Dan Scavino and James Blair, and press secretary Karoline Leavitt, also attended.
Cabinet members present included Vice President Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Dan Caine, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
In recent weeks, Israel publicly expressed concern over Iran’s uranium enrichment activities, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserting that Iran was secretly trying to weaponize uranium at an accelerated pace.
The International Atomic Energy Agency also flagged Iran’s increasing uranium stockpiles, although it stopped short of confirming nuclear weapon development.
