Shocking! NYC Boat Packed with Hundreds Collides with Hudson River Pier—You Won’t Believe What Happened Next!

Luxury Party Yacht Collides with Hudson River Pier, Injuring Dozens

A celebration turned chaotic after a luxury yacht in New York City impacted a pier along the Hudson River, resulting in multiple injuries. The vessel, carrying nearly 400 passengers, was approaching its docking point when a line snapped, causing it to crash into a pier near West 125th Street and the Henry Hudson Parkways.

Witnesses described the sudden collision as shocking. One passenger, celebrating her 69th birthday aboard, recounted how the boat ran into the dock unexpectedly, leading some to fall inside the vessel due to lack of support. Fortunately, no one went overboard during the incident.

Fire officials reported that about 35 people sustained minor injuries, with 23 transported for medical evaluations. Several passengers, including some in wheelchairs, were escorted off the boat. An injured passenger was seen being taken away in a wheelchair, and many described the chaos and injuries as happening rapidly.

The vessel, the largest in Empire Cruises’ fleet, features three bars and indoor seating for up to 550 guests, used regularly for river trips and events such as weddings and parties. Despite the crash, some guests expressed gratitude that injuries were mostly minor, and one organizer noted that many standing along the sides prevented more severe accidents.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Coast Guard, and no official statement has been released from the cruise company. The incident occurred during a festive birthday celebration, but authorities have confirmed that the crash was unintended and still under review.
