In 2024, residents of New York spent approximately $179 million on OnlyFans, which is notable but falls short of the highest per-capita expenditures in the country.
West Virginia led the nation with the highest Annual spending per 10,000 residents, totaling $116,313, according to data from OnlyFinder’s analysis of the site’s usage across states. In contrast, New York ranked 35th, with an average of $88,646 spent annually per 10,000 residents.
Second on the list was Nevada, followed by Colorado, Illinois, and Iowa. Mississippi appeared as the least interested state, with just $54,728 annually per 10,000 residents, with Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, and Alaska also ranking in the bottom five.
In New York, men represent about 83% of OnlyFans users, contributing roughly $148.7 million of the total. Women, making up 17%, account for around $30.4 million. Nearly half of the subscribers are married, and about 36% are aged between 25 and 34.
The study identified the most searched OnlyFans stars in New York. Sophie Rain, who disclosed earning over $23 million this year, is the top search term with over 246,000 monthly searches. Camilla Araujo ranked second, with more than 110,000 searches.
Interestingly, nearly 50% of onlyFans users in New York are married. A representative of the platform commented that the city’s 24/7 lifestyle might contribute to the high engagement, offering a sense of connection for many users. “It’s not just about content; it’s about companionship,” Rain noted, highlighting that many subscribers seek someone to listen and share their stories.
Other nearby states also showed notable engagement: New Jersey ranked 33rd, with $90,724 spent per 10,000 residents annually, while Connecticut was 43rd, with $81,941.
