England and Chelsea defender Lucy Bronze has taken a well-deserved holiday alongside her Spain rival Ona Batlle before the upcoming Women’s Euros. The 33-year-old Lionesses star shared photos on social media celebrating her time off, which appeared to be a birthday getaway for Batlle, as she captioned one post “Bday week.”

Bronze and Batlle, who previously faced each other in the 2023 World Cup final, spent time together in an unnamed location. Their holiday included relaxing on a lilo in the sea, enjoying ice cream in the sun, boat trips, and lounging in a private pool. The pair looked to be having a fun and restful break, sharing joyful moments from their trip.

During their time at Barcelona in the 2023-24 season, Bronze and Batlle enjoyed a victorious campaign, winning the Champions League, Liga F, the Spanish Cup, and the Super Cup. Their friendship was further highlighted during the World Cup final, when Batlle comforted a tearful Bronze after Spain’s victory over England.

Bronze has since reunited with the England squad as they prepare for the tournament in Switzerland. She remains a key figure in the team, which will face Jamaica in a warm-up match before challenging France, the Netherlands, and Wales in the group stage.
