US Conducts Successful Airstrikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities

The United States has carried out targeted airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fordow facility and uranium enrichment centers at Natanz and Esfahan. President Trump announced that all aircraft involved had safely returned outside Iran’s airspace, emphasizing the precision and strength of the operation.

Following the attack, congressional leaders quickly voiced their support. Senator John Fetterman praised the military action, highlighting Iran’s history as a major sponsor of terrorism and its nuclear ambitions. House Speaker Mike Johnson echoed this sentiment, stating that Iran’s leadership had rejected diplomatic solutions and emphasizing the need to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Johnson underscored that the action was a demonstration of America’s firm stance against nuclear proliferation and terrorism, praying for the safety of troops involved. Senate Majority Leader John Thune also pointed out that Iran’s regime had “rejected all diplomatic pathways to peace” before the strikes, condemning their pursuit of nuclear weapons and their hostile rhetoric.

Not all reactions were unanimous. Congressman Thomas Massie questioned the constitutionality of the President’s decision, asserting that it bypassed Congress’s war-declaring authority. Meanwhile, Congressman Mike Lawler supported the strikes, reaffirming bipartisan backing for Iran’s disarmament and U.S. military support for Israel’s actions against Iran.
