Shocking! Illegal Migrant Who Threatened NY US Attorney Had Multiple Past Arrests—You Won’t Believe What He Did Next!
Illegal Immigrant Accused of Threatening and Chasing U.S. Attorney with a Knife
An illegal immigrant from El Salvador, Saul Morales-Garcia, is facing serious charges after allegedly threatening and pursuing a U.S. Attorney with a knife outside a hotel in Albany. He reportedly chased the attorney, clutching a blade and warning that he would slit his throat, before deputies apprehended him shortly afterward.
Morales-Garcia has an extensive criminal history, including previous arrests for threats, DUI, and theft. He was deported in 2010 following a conviction for petit larceny and later re-entered the U.S. illegally at some point between April 2010 and December 2021. In 2021, he was arrested in Georgia for DWI, and in 2023, he faced charges for threatening behavior, public intoxication, and possessing an open container.
He was arrested again in 2024 in Pennsylvania for retail theft. Most recently, he was detained after the attack on the U.S. Attorney, John Sarcone, outside the Hilton Hotel in Albany. Morales-Garcia was charged with attempted second-degree murder and is held without bail. Homeland Security Investigations is also working to charge him with illegal re-entry, which could lead to his deportation again.
Authorities have emphasized that Morales-Garcia should never have been in the country. The DHS stated he “has been committing crimes across the country” and now faces charges of attempted murder and potential removal from the U.S.
According to local reports, the incident highlights ongoing concerns about illegal re-entry and criminal activity among undocumented migrants. Homeland Security is seeking to enforce the removal process and ensure public safety.
