Wrexham Forward Paul Mullin in Talks to Leave on Loan Amid Manager’s Disfavor

Paul Mullin, the striker for Wrexham, is negotiating a loan transfer to Wigan Athletic following his reduced role at the recently promoted club. Mullin, 30, joined Wrexham in 2021 and was instrumental in securing consecutive promotions, finishing as their top scorer during both campaigns. The team advanced once more last season, finishing second in League One.

However, Mullin’s involvement diminished after January, reportedly due to disagreements with manager Phil Parkinson. The arrival of new signings, such as Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez, contributed to Mullin being sidelined. There have also been reports suggesting Mullin expressed dissatisfaction to Wrexham’s Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Mullin remains under contract for another two years, earning approximately £5,800 weekly.
